Many new iPhone 12 owners have reported that over time, their new device stops charging on Qi standard charging pads.
An Apple representative confirmed that work is already underway to fix the bug.
9to5mac.com editor Ben Lovejoy also noticed an unusual problem with the iPhone 12 with wireless charging on Qi standard pads.
In his case, the iPhone 12 initially charged without any issues on all three wireless chargers he tested, but gradually the wireless (Qi) charging function stopped working.
The solution seems to be to restart the device, which is, unfortunately only a temporary fix.
A 9to5mac.com reader, who managed to contact Apple’s representative, also commented on the problem that is now bothering many owners of the new iPhone 12 phones.
An employee of the Cupertino company confirmed that work is being done to fix the problem and it should be resolved in the coming days. The Qi wireless charging bug could then be resolved with the next update.
