Xiaomi has just unveiled its new flagship Mi 11, as reported by xatakandroid.com. This long-awaited novelty is also at the same time the first mobile phone with the recently introduced Snapdragon 888 processor from Qualcomm. The new Xiaomi Mi 11 will clearly be one of the most powerful phones on the market. The processor is paired to 8/12GB of RAM with 128/256 GB of internal memory. The support of memory cards has not been mentioned yet but will most likely not be supported.

Xiaomi Mi 11: Design

The new Xiaomi Mi11 presented today will be offered not only in a traditional design combining glass surfaces with a metal frame but also with a leather back. An elegant solution and an opportunity to differentiate yourself from the very similar-looking competition. It’s worth to add that the leather version will be 2 grams lighter and 0.5 millimetres thicker than the glass version

Xiaomi Mi 11: Under the hood

In addition to a state-of-the-art processor, the mobile phone also features a quality display. You will be looking at curved 6.81-inch Super AMOLED panel from Samsung with WQHD+ 3200×1440 resolution. You can count on a high 120Hz refresh rate with 240Hz touch response rate in tow (previous Mi10 model had 90Hz refresh rate panels). The whole display panel is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.

The display brightness will also be above average, reaching to a maximum of 1,500 nits. The advanced functionality features a fingerprint reader integrated directly into the display, and a small punch-hole at the top of the display with the 20-megapixel selfie camera.

The phone supports using two nano-SIM cards at the same time, with 5G networks available for both of them. As for connectivity, the phone features Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, IR blaster and USB-C charging port. Unfortunately, the 3.5 mm jack is missing again as was and probably will be expected for any future models as well. However, for speaker-music enthusiasts, the phone attracts on Harman Kardon stereo speakers.

Xiaomi Mi 11: Camera

The hallmark of the Mi 11’s backside is a large module with cameras, especially a large circle, which contains a main 108MP sensor with optical image stabilization (1/1.33-inch sensor size, f/1.85) capable of shooting videos with 8K resolution. There is also a 13 MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.4) able to take a photo at 123° angle. The last 5MPx camera is used for macro shots from distances from 3 to 10 centimetres.

Xiaomi Mi 11: Battery and Charging

Inside the phone, you will find a battery with an average capacity of 4,600 mAh. No long-lasting endurance can be expected, so Xiaomi is at least trying to recharge the battery as quickly as possible. Wired charging supports a power output of up to 55W, which (by the initial opinion) sounds wonderful and it can be estimated that it will take only about 45 minutes to charge the battery fully from 0-100%.

After the controversial move when Apple decided not to include their charger in the box with the phone (‘to save the environment’), Xiaomi follows the same path and you will have to pay a bit extra to get their 55W charger. Mi 11 will, however, work with any regular mobile phone charger you got at home at the moment (for the price of slower charging).

The Xiaomi Mi 11 also supports very fast wireless charging with a output power of up to 50W.

Xiaomi Mi 11: Android 11 and MIUI 12.5

Xiaomi Mi 11 will run on Android 11 operating system with the MIUI 12.5 extension which will provide you with some new wallpaper options, a new notification sounds based on 125 sounds of different animals, and decreased memory/speed use for system applications. It also comes with a variety of privacy enhancement, including advanced clipboard security to keep unwanted applications from accessing the clipboard, sandboxing for storage-required apps and web monitoring protection.

Xiaomi also introduced an MIUI Plus beta which will allow you to pair your phone with your Windows device. With this cross-device feature, you may receive notifications or open certain mobile apps on your laptop or desktop computer

Xiaomi Mi 11: Price and Release date

The Xiaomi has also shown the official price of the Mi 11 in China with more countries to follow as the Mi 11 will be introduced for the international market in coming months. We include current currency conversions with the listed prices, which are very likely to be a bit different in other markets.
