Xiaomi has just launched more phones to the Mi 11 series. During the official launch event, Xiaomi has revealed the Mi 11 Pro, which is basically an improved Mi 11 which was released a few months ago and the most expected phone of 2021 from Xiaomi – Mi 11 Ultra. We have also got to see a third model, Xiaomi Mi 11 Light, which will be the thinnest of all their models.
We had an opportunity to see the Xiaomi mi 11 Ultra when the first hands-on video leaked. Since that time, the rumours, leaks and other information about the specs of this unusually extravagant phone.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra: Rear display
Xiaomi has implemented an unusual feature. The Mi 11 Ultra has a rear display, which was initially assumed it will work primarily with the camera, for instance during live streams or selfies with the main lens.
Even though this was Xiaomi’s main intention, the 1.1-inch AMOLED display will work also as an Always-on display, show notification and work as a spare screen during the Super power saver mode.
Under the Super power saver mode, the rear screen will be able to access only the most necessary apps, while using much less energy than the main front screen.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra: Top-notch camera
Probably the most noticeable change from other smartphones is the massive camera setup bump on the back of the phone. This allowed Xiaomi to implement three primary large camera sensors capable of taking truly great pictures even under bad light conditions.
The first of the three Mi 11 Ultra cameras is the 50MP primary camera (f/1.95) with a 1/.12-inch sensor, which was compared in the launch event and had much better night shot results than the Sony DSC-RX100 camera with a 1-inch sensor.
The second camera has been introduced as a 48MP periscope lens camera (telephoto lens) with a 1/2-inch sensor capable of up to 120x zoom and 10x hybrid zoom with remarkable results.
And finally, the third Mi 11 Pro camera is the 128° Ultra wide-angle lens with Sony IMX586 48MP sensor accompanied by dToF depth sensor.
It has been said that all 3 cameras support astounding video capture in 8K resolution.
All cameras support so-called Multicam functionality, which captures image from all 3 cameras simultaneously, with different zoom and together with the selfie camera. The Multicam will also work with a dual phone function which allows you to record from 2 different devices.
It wasn’t particularly demonstrated in the event, but on of the slides, we could see information that the Mi 11 Ultra also features an extraordinary 1920fps super slow motion.

Xiaomi has also subjected their new flagship smartphone to DxOMark, which is a popular site independently testing smartphones, lenses and cameras to provide them with the total score of their camera. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has reached amazing 143 points, putting the smartphone in the first place of the DxOMark ranking, way ahead of popular phones such as Huawei Mate 40 Pro + (139 points) or iPhone 12 Pro Max (130 points).
From the front, the Mi 11 Ultra has a 20MP selfie camera built in punch hole in the middle of the screen.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra: 2K display
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra will feature an 2K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby vision which is an advanced form of HDR, giving similar results as HDR+. The front screen will be protectred by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra: Performance
The official launch event confirmed previous rumours and leaks, that the Mi 11 Ultra will get the recent octa-core 2.84 GHz Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 built with 5nm technology. The graphic performance is being taken care of by the Adreno 660 GPU.
The Mi 11 Ultra will be sold in a different configuration of storage and up to 12GB RAM.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra: Battery and Charging
The phone is powered by a large 5000mAh battery that supports super-fast both wired and wireless 67W charging. The charger will get the phone from 0-100% in just around 36 minutes. The Mi 11 Ultra has also worked on passive cooling as devices tend to warm up during the charging. They managed to keep the max. the temperature at 49 °C, which is around 4 °C less than the competition shows.
Even with the larger battery, the size of the phone has changed only slightly, being only 8.53mm thin and weighing 208g.
The fast (wired) USB Type C charger is included in the box.

Other than a large, powerful camera, the Mi 11 Ultra also boasts of some quality features such as NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 or location services Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS. The phone supports 5G networks, thanks to its Snapdragon X60 5G modem.
The brand has also established cooperation with well-known brand Harman Kardon supplying them with high-quality speakers.
The Mi 11 Ultra has also gotten a IP68 water/dust resistance.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has been introduced for the price of £1199 in the UK or €1199 in Europe for 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model and following price range in China:
