Poco brand has, together with Poco X3 Pro, launched another device from its F series lineup, called Poco F3. The smartphone’s concept is coming from Xiaomi’s Redmi K40 and uses some of its hardware.

The Poco F3 has a thin (7.8mm), plastic body, however, built inside a metal frame, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone weighs in total just under 200g (196g).

Poco F3: Display

It features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display running at a 120Hz refresh rate with an HDR10+ capability. Its brightness can reach an amazing 1300 nits at its peak, which makes the display clear and well readable under direct sunlight. The screen also has an impressive 360Hz touch sampling rate which improves the phones response time, for example during gaming.

Poco F3: Camera

The Poco F3 also has been equipped with a triple camera – 48MP main (f/1.79) with an 8MP ultrawide sensor (123° angle) and a 5MP macro.

From the front, it has got the same 20MP selfie camera as the Poco X3 Pro.

Furthermore, the Poco F3 also features 3 microphones, capable of recording sound all around you at a 360° angle.

Poco F3: Chipset and memory

The Poco F3 performance comes from the newest octa-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 chipset with up to 3.2Ghz clocking speed, which is basically slightly upgraded old 865+ (2019). The chipset includes an Adreno™ 650 GPU and supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6 (which is approx. 270% faster than Wi-Fi 5) or Bluetooth 5.2.

In the Poco F3 case, it is accompanied by either 6 or 8GB RAM (LPDDR5) and 126 or 256GB internal storage memory (two configurations). With these specs, the Poco F3 has gained 640 758 points in the AnTuTu benchmark test.

Poco F3: More features

The Poco F3 also has a fingerprint scanner, which is conveniently placed on the side of the phone. There is also a Face ID recognition build in the F3, for those who often need to unlock their phone wearing gloves or just prefer this way over the fingerprint scanner.

For a better experience, you may look forward to an X-axis vibration motor and Dolby Atmos stereo speakers. To add even more, the Poco added an NFC chip (Google Pay support) and IR-blaster (to work as a remote control).

Poco F3: Battery and charging

The phone gets its juice from a 4,520 mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging. This way, you should be able to charge the phone 0 – 100% in just 52 minutes. The manufacturer also says the Poco F3 should be able to last 268 hours in standby mode or 10 of gaming, 14 hours of video playing or up to 149 hours of music. This has most likely been measured with the data being turned off.
